Our new Demmler Buddies are more than just muffin cases! They are perfect for small cakes, muffins, or other treats. The cases are made from parchment substitute and are therefore highly durable for any type of filling. They measure 550x32mm. Additionally, they are ovenproof up to 180°C, food-safe, and greaseproof.

They also include 24 fun stickers!

Sustainability

It is our commitment to provide our customers with a product that fits 100% into their lives and makes baking an experience through its sustainability, quality, and design language. This is reflected not only in our meticulous selection of raw materials, such as FSC-certified wood or cellular substitute materials, water-based paints, and much more, but also in our daily efforts at our Berlin factory to become even better and more sustainable.

Raw materials

In addition to sourcing raw materials as sustainably as possible from FSC-certified forestry in Germany or Europe, the company primarily focuses on long-term partnerships with its suppliers, some of which have been working together for the 2nd or 3rd generation. All used colours are exclusively water-based food colours. Our cartons are made from 80-100% recycled materials, and we avoid printing on them whenever possible to facilitate their return to the recycling system.

Production

As one of the few manufacturers, we produce our products exclusively in Germany, largely at our main plant in the heart of Berlin. This allows us to guarantee quality and environmental protection. Recently, we invested in new machinery that saves up to 25% energy and 20% raw materials. In addition, we invest in photovoltaic systems and source our electricity from renewable sources.

Logistic

Short supplier routes and transportation bundling are part of an optimised logistics process to minimise unnecessary trips. This also includes delivery from a central warehouse to avoid dispatching orders from bulk buyers in multiple shipments. To achieve this, we rely on the latest trucks (some with alternative drives) to reduce emissions.

Packing

We are committed to ensuring that our products and packaging contain as little plastic as possible. Our film is sourced from Germany and is approved for the recycling cycle and registered in the central Green Dot system. As we work daily at Demmler to improve further, we are currently testing alternative materials to completely eliminate plastic from our processes in the near future. All our products can be disposed of entirely through standard recycling channels. Additionally, our cake decorations and baking papers are certified industrially compostable.

At Demmler, sustainability is not just a buzzword but has been our conviction for years. We see ourselves as part of our environment and aim to reflect this through our sustainable products. Therefore, we monitor the entire production and supply chain and continuously strive to improve. We are working to implement new materials that have no negative impact on our environment and future generations, and we have all raw materials certified and tested for their composition by independent laboratories.
