Happy Easter!

Happy Easter!

Sometimes it feels like the supermarkets are ushering in the season of their respective festivals. Easter is just around the corner. Easter bunnies, colourful eggs and all kinds of goodies as far as the eye can see. But do you know why we celebrate Easter?

The tradition of celebrating Easter has its roots in different cultures and religions. In Christianity, Easter is celebrated as the feast of the resurrection of Jesus Christ, which is said to have taken place on the third day after his crucifixion.
The early Christians, however, did not celebrate Easter as an independent festival, but celebrated it as part of the Jewish Passover. Over time, however, Easter developed into a holiday in its own right and was eventually officially recognised as such by the Church.
In other cultures and religions, Easter is also celebrated, often with its own customs and traditions. For example, many pagan and pagan cultures celebrate spring and the rebirth of nature, which has some connection with Easter as a spring festival. Overall, Easter is a festival deeply rooted in the history and culture of different countries and religions, and is celebrated in many forms and manifestations around the world. Since family and friends often get together at Easter, there is of course also baking. We have gathered a few delicious recipe ideas for you here:
