Es ist unser Anspruch, unseren Kundinnen und Kunden ein Produkt zu bieten, das zu 100% in ihr Leben passt und mit seiner Nachhaltigkeit, Qualität und Designsprache, Backen zu einem Erlebnis macht. Dazu passt nicht nur unsere akribische Auswahl der Rohstoffe, aus FSC zertifiziertem Holz oder zellularen Ersatzstoffen, Farben auf Wasserbasis und vieles mehr, sondern auch, dass wir in unserem Werk in Berlin tagtäglich daran arbeiten noch besser und noch nachhaltiger zu werden.

Raw materials

Neben einer möglichst nachhaltigen Rohstoffbeschaffung aus FSC-Zertifizierter Forstwirtschaft in Deutschland oder Europa, setzen wir vor allem auf langfristige Partnerschaften mit unseren Zulieferern, mit denen wir zum Teil in der 2. oder 3. Generation zusammenarbeiten. Alle verwendeten Farben sind ausschließlich Lebensmittelfarben auf Wasserbasis. Unsere Kartonagen sind aus 80-100% Recycling und wir verzichten - sofern möglich - auf Bedruckung, damit sie noch besser wieder in das Recyclingsystem zurückgeführt werden können.

Production

Als einer der wenigen Hersteller produzieren wir unsere Produkte ausschließlich in Deutschland, zu großen Teilen in unserem Stammwerk im Herzen Berlins. Damit können wir Qualität und Umweltschutz garantieren. So haben wir erst vor kurzem in neue Maschinen investiert, die bis zu 25% Energie und 20% Rohstoffe einsparen. Daneben investieren wir in Photovoltaikanlagen und beziehen unseren Strom aus regenerativen Quellen.

Logistic

Kurze Zuliefererwege und Transportbündelung sind Teil einer möglichst effizienten Logistik, um unnötige Fahrten einzusparen. Dazu gehört auch die Auslieferung aus einem Zentrallager, um Bestellungen von Großabnehmern nicht in verschiedenen Sendungen verschicken zu müssen. Dazu setzen wir auf neueste LKW (zum Teil mit alternativen Antrieben), um Emissionen einzusparen.

Packing

Wir arbeiten daran, dass unsere Produkte und Verpackungen so wenig Plastik wie möglich beinhalten. Wir beziehen unsere Folie aus Deutschland die wieder für den Recyclingkreislauf zugelassen und im zentralen Grünpunktsystem erfasst ist. Da wir bei Demmler tagtäglich daran arbeiten noch besser zu werden, erproben wir gerade alternative Materialien, um Plastik in naher Zukunft völlig aus unseren Prozessen zu verbannen. Alle unsere Produkte können komplett über die üblichen Recyclingwege entsorgt werden. Darüber hinaus sind unsere Tortenspitzen und Backpapiere als industriell kompostierbar zertifiziert.

Bei Demmler ist Nachhaltigkeit nicht nur ein Schlagwort, sondern schon seit Jahren aus Überzeugung unser Ansatz. Wir verstehen uns als ein Teil unserer Umwelt und wollen daher mit unseren nachhaltigen Produkten dem Rechnung tragen. Wir haben daher die ganze Produktions- und Lieferkette im Auge und versuchen uns konstant zu verbessern.

Wir arbeiten daran neue Materialien einzusetzen, die keinen negativen Einfluss auf unserer Umwelt und zukünftigen Generationen haben und lassen alle Rohmaterialien zertifizieren und von unabhängigen Laboren auf Ihre Zusammensetzung prüfen. Selbstverständlich werden daher alle Produkte von Demmler, die eingesetzten Rohstoffe sowie die Herstellbedingungen von unabhängigen Instituten mehrfach im Jahr kontrolliert.
